IAP 89: POWER HOUR: “The Greatest Podcast Never Made!”: Pigs Blood Pudding- You Don’t Know What You’re Missing!

March 11, 2019 By Italian American Podcast Leave a Comment

What do you do when three attempts at recording a Power Hour episode fail? You’re about to find out when you listen to “The Greatest Podcast Never Made!”

This week, Pat and John set out to record an episode while making one of Pat’s signature dishes, Sanguinaccio… a Neapolitan chocolate and pig’s blood pudding traditionally prepared for Carnevale – the feast day on the eve of Lent.  But, when things go awry, their week full of Italian American events makes each attempt to record more confusing than the next!  Of course, just sitting these two down in front of a microphone means loads of random knowledge about Italian American food culture, and an episode about the greatest episode never made is a result for all to enjoy.

From the best pots to use for your gravy/sauce, to why macaroni always comes in blue packaging, to the deep historical roots of this often-misunderstood delicacy, it’s an Italian American Power Hour you won’t want to miss!
