In this week’s episode of the Italian American Power Hour, Pat and John sit down with Italian American artist Steven Mairella, a proud paisano enjoying a second successful career as an artist.  The son of a sign painter, and the grandson of  Italian immigrants from the Calabria, Basilicata, and Campania regions of Italy, this New Jersey native spent 33 years as a successful attorney before trading his briefcase for brushes and setting out to capture his deeply held affection for his Italian American heritage in painting.  They’ll discuss the inspiration behind his iconic Italian American images, the state of the Italian American in the 21st century, and exactly which grapes make the most authentic homemade wine.  With his passion for his heritage seeping out in every brush stroke, Mairella is the perfect addition to this Power Hour discussion!
