IAP 107: “Could the Italian American Promised Land be in Toronto? ” A Conversation with Italo-Canadian Comedy Superstar Giuseppe the MC

September 9, 2019 By Italian American Podcast Leave a Comment

As the summer draws to a close, and the school year begins anew, co-hosts Rossella Rago and John Viola take their first crack at sharing hosting duties by welcoming Italo-Canadian MC, comedian, and social media superstar Giuseppe the MC to the show!

If you haven’t seen Toronto’s #1 Paesan yet, you’ll get a rundown of some of our favorite videos that made Giuseppe Meleca famous- his hilarious impersonations of his mother (complete with costume) assessing the particular hilarity of Italian motherhood.  From the unique lunches they packed us, to their rules on recycling (don’t throw anything away), to how to shop for groceries at mom’s house, neophytes and long-time-fans alike will love this look into Giuseppe’s favorite topics.  And, for those that have been dying for an answer, we’ll return to the much debated question where it all began- how do you know what to put in the busta envelope at a wedding?!?

You’ll get an inside look at the Italian community in Canada and its favorite son, and enjoy a laugh-a-minute conversation you won’t want to miss.  With these three paesani clearly bursting with Italian Pride, this hilarious episode is a laugh-out-loud love-fest from the very beginning!
